Teaching Series: I Used to Rule the World

Sermon Title: Who is the Shepherd?

Sermon in a Sentence: We all follow something or somebody. Jesus said He was the good shepherd, and we are the sheep. Do we listen? What does it mean to follow the shepherd?

Bible Verses Used: Isaiah 7:14, John 10:7-16

Scale of Difficulty: 3 out of 10

40 small tonight, but 5 new students! One new believer in Christ!!!

Service Length: 90min

Understandable Message: So much fun tonight. Realizing that we have so much in common with sheep, was a tough but funny thing. Immanuel means God with us. He is not some distant God, He is with us. Sheep are almost blind at night. The shepherd, move to the center of the flock to guard, and comfort the sheep at night. During our darkest time, God is even closer to His flock!

Grade: B+

Volunteer/Student Involvement: Students ran sound/video, Deb from Gospel Rescue Mission came to talk to the students about Chip A Brick, and the opportunity to serve this weekend. Had quite a few sign up!

Element of Fun/Positive Environment: The first 15-20 min was hang out time. Students played games (spoons, cards, Xbox) connected, and enjoyed snacks. Band played tonight!!! I was so excited, I forgot to shoot video!! So awesome to have them back, they did a fantastic job!

Music Set List: Sing Sing Sing, No One Like You
