Teaching Series: Scarred Week 3

Sermon Title: Share Your Story

Sermon in a Sentence: If you allow God to use your story, He will.

Bible Verses Used: Psalm 32:3-5, Isaiah 40:31, Genesis 50:20, 2 Corinthians 1:4

Scale of Difficulty: 6 out of 10

Attendance: 48

Service Length: 90min

Understandable Message: Sharing a hurt with someone safe can be liberating and healing, but also it can help someone in their struggles.

Grade: B

Volunteer/Student Involvement: Jeremy, and Daniel on the board, Roni at check in and helped with games. Laurie ran the snack shack! Sherry and Jayne were our ushers. Laurie shared her story of drug abuse, and how she gave it to Jesus, and He freed her from its bondage with no detox centers! Now her story is being used to help others who feel trapped in their scars, know that there is hope, strength, and healing in Jesus Christ. She did an awesome job, and God is using her in our ministry!

Element of Fun/Positive Environment: The first 15-20 min was hang out time. Students played games (spoons, cards, Xbox) connected, and enjoyed snacks. Kajabi was the game of the night.

Music Playlist: Music played on the iPod during the hang out time, no band tonight 😦

Favorite Moment: Several moments. Having some of the students that missed the first week share their scars with me, and ask for prayer. Listening to how God changed Laurie’s life, and seeing the students faces really begin to understand the healing power of Jesus! I also got to meet and hang out with some students that I haven’t spent time with before.Such a great night! To top it off 4 students committed their lives to Jesus!
