Fusion Rewind May 12th

• Finished up our series Beyond the Yearbook
• Our Children’s Pastor Tom Ulrich gave a shout out for help in the children’s ministry.
• A TON of students committed to serving. There are too many fat Christians in the church. People who come to everything and feed(on God’s word), but don’t give back(serving His kingdom). It’s time to exercise our spiritual gifts not just hangout at the buffet!
• We saw some new faces. Love that
• Got to wash some feet on stage, freaked a few students out…that’s a good thing!
• Talked about Mark 4. What kind of soil are you? God’s not finished with you yet! He loves you where you are at, BUT…He loves you TOO much to leave you there.
• 4 students gave their lives to Christ! That never gets old

Face the Cookie

So we started to use the idea of Minute to Win It. A new show on NBC check out more here Finding the videos on YouTube we were able to use the computerized voice directions up on the big screen…very cool! I highly recommend using some of these! First the students tried, and then the leaders were called out to show them how it’s done!

Understandable Message: Are you willing to let Jesus ruin your life, in the best way possible? Pick up your cross and follow me…What are you willing to give up to follow Jesus? If you had to, would you be willing to lose your best friend, your family, your reputation, or your life? Following Jesus is about total surrender, giving it all for Him. It’s not just a ticket into heaven someday, its being able to impact the kingdom today! My kids ruined my life. Before they were born, my wife and I could sleep in, stay up late, we were able to be spontaneous.  Then our children came along. Diapers, sicknesses, homework, interruptions, lack of privacy, and schedules. I traded in the good life, for the incredible life! Priorities changes, and so did my life. I don’t regret it at all!!! They ruined my life in the best way possible. Jesus wants to do the same in your life. Take the life you thought was good, and trade it in for the incredible life!

Who do YOU say He is?

^{Mark 8:27-29 27} Jesus and his disciples left Galilee and went up to the villages near Caesarea Philippi. As they were walking along, he asked them,“Who do people say I am?”

²⁸ “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say you are one of the other prophets.”

²⁹ Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

Peter replied, “You are the Messiah.”

Who do YOU say Jesus is?  This is the real question we must ask ourselves. Is He the Messiah, the one who will make YOU right with God? Or is He just an old fairytale that you heard about growing up. It doesn’t matter who your Mom and Dad say He is. It doesn’t matter who I say He is…Jesus wants to know, who do YOU say He is? If you say He is the Son of God, nothing else matters.

^{Mark 8:34-38 34} Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. ³⁵ If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. ³⁶ And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? ³⁷ Is anything worth more than your soul? ³⁸ If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

Will you follow Him? Will you be a Christ follower, and not just a “Christian”?
